Petala Ironcloud is a Lakota/Dakota and Jewish writer and textile artist from California, based in New York City. Their work has appeared in The New York Times, The Business of Fashion, PAPER Magazine, and others. Previously, they served on the board of the American Indian Cultural Center of San Francisco, collaborating with the mayor’s office to launch the nation’s first American Indian Cultural District.
